Holcam Sales, Inc. was formed in 1960 by John Holmes, currently President. Mr. Holmes began by purchasing , then assembling ‘knock-down’ shower door kits in a Fremont (north Seattle) area basement. The kits were purchased from Loup Engineering and the hammered wire glass was imported in teak crates from Taiwan. He and some part time help cut the glass and assemble each kit order.
In the early 1970’s, Loup Engineering sold their business. Mr. Holmes then purchased parts from Loop to produce his own fabricated units. A new era began at this point for Holcam Sales, Inc. The sales team was expanded in the mid-1970’s increasing business and making it necessary to expand further. The larger and more complete facility which catered to the productive needs of a growing company.
1993 began on a low note as the Corgiat Drive facility burned to the ground. Undaunted, Holcam Sales continued to produce at a small satellite plant near Airport Way before Mr. Holmes purchased the present production plant at 13536 Beacon Coal Mine Road So. (south Seattle). In 1999, the Fabrication Building was added to the south end of the current shop to increase productivity and open up more space for ever increasing production.
With the availability of HydroShield protective coating and the increasing popularity of Eurolite designs, Holcam products are in demand on the west coast. Combine that with the addition delivery trucks and outstanding customer service, Holcam Sales is set to continue producing quality products well into the future.
